Newport Cove is located in unincorporated Lake County, a couple miles south of the Village of Antioch. This quaint town boasts excellent restaurants, antique shops, specialty shops, an old-fashioned movie theater and several service businesses. Bordering the town are numerous shopping malls. During the summer months, fairs and festivals abound in the village. Antioch boasts its very own community theater company, the Palette, Masque and Lyre Theater, which has been entertaining area residents for more than 50 years.
Newport Cove residents also find shopping convenient in nearby Fox Lake, Lake Villa, Volo and Gurnee.
And, of course, they enjoy boating (or driving) to the many eating and drinking establishments along the Chain O’ Lakes waterfront.
Downtown Antioch is a vibrant old-fashioned town with good restaurants, charming antique shops and many locally owned retail businesses.
Antioch Downtown Theatre is just one of the entertaining options for nightlife in downtown Antioch.
The Hiram Buttrick Sawmill at Gage Brothers Park is located just two blocks north of Orchard Street on Holbek.
